Wet Moon is a series of graphic novel chronicling the lives of Cleo Lovedrop and her group of friends as they navigate their way through art school, relationships and mysterious happenings, all set against the backdrop of the mysterious and swampy Deep South.
The representation of queer characters, characters of colour and fat characters is remarkable. Plus, hetereonormativity is refreshingly non-existent! This is a truly a diverse ensemble of well developed characters in a world where sexuality and gender expression is fluid, early 2000s pop culture references are rife and cats have adventures all of their own… I would, of course, recommend it.
