Circa 1927: Oswald The Lucky Rabbit in Trolley Troubles
Legend has it that Oswald The Lucky Rabbit made his animated debut on this day back in 1927 in the Walt Disney Short Trolley Troubles. However it wasn’t until recently that Oswald was brought back into the fold at Disney with the Epic Mickey video game. Read the graphic novel based on the hit video game penned by Peter David today.
Circa 1930 - Flip the Frog in “Fiddlesticks”
Legend has it that on this day back in 1930 Walt Disney Studios released the first animated cartoon with sound! Entitled Fiddlesticks, it starred Flip The Frog in a music fill adventure through the swamp. The violin playing mouse, may in fact be none other than Mickey Mouse himself, but no one knows for sure.
