Comics101 Recommendations
At comiXology our mission is to make everyone on the face of the planet a comic fan and because of this one of our favorites panels to do every year is the Comics101 panel. For this panel we usually gather some of the industry’s biggest pro’s and have them give out personalized recommendation’s. We held this panel at WonderCon 2017 and were lucky enough to be joined by CEO and co-founder David Steinberger, Valiant editor-in-chief Warren Simons, Valiant VP of marketing and communications Hunter Gorinson, and comiXology’s Head of Content & Sr Dir Communications Chip Mosher.

Day 2 of WonderCon is officially DOOONE!
Started off the day right by giving away trade secrets of comics marketing with industry pros Chip Mosher (comiXology), Dirk Wood (IDW), Jamal Igle (Action Lab), Mel Caylo (BOOM! Studios) and Allison Baker (IDW/Monkeybrain) during our Comics Marketing & PR 101 panel. Couldn’t make it? Re-watch it here with the Periscope app.
We also walked the convention floor and took in all the sights, sounds and cosplay of the main hall. We even got introduced to Rahul Kohli & Malcolm Goodwin from the iZombie TV show!
In our next panel Chip Mosher (comiXology), Sam Humphries (Star Lord) and Chris Rosa (BOOM! Studios) recommended a ton of great comics to eager new and long-time comics fans looking for that perfect comic to read.
Now at the end of the day, we’re taking a queue from Apocalypse and just chillin’ easy with a tasty beverage. Thanks for the memories WonderCon! One more day.
