You probably should have mentioned to that writer who has been percolating on an idea for 2 yrs that the best way to find an artist to draw their story is to offer a page rate. Hire an artist. That doesn't sound like a collab effort if the writer already has 2 years of planning. That sounds like a writer who needs to hire an artist for money to draw their story. There IS a difference and advice like what you gave is what makes writers think artists are chomping to draw other peoples stories.

Totally valid point- there are a lot of different kinds of collaborations you can have with artists, and a lot of different kinds of artists at different levels of experience.  You might find someone who shares your vision and who you feel comfortable forming a creative partnership, or, as this poster suggests, you might want to retain as much creative control as possible and hire someone to draw your comic for you.  Not everyone is able or willing to work for free and, of course, every artist deserves compensation (and recognition) for their efforts.

What time are the comics released at?

we release comics just about every day around 10am, and on wednesdays we have an additional overnight launch for some publishers

Are your comics drm free?

The DRM applied to each comic is determined by the publisher so that, for instance, while all of Image comics have DRM-Free backups available, none of the comics from DC or Marvel currently have the option to backup. Also for some publishers, the DRM-Free backup availability varies from series to series. If you’re ever unsure if a book you want to purchase has a DRM-Free option, just look for the DRM-Free icon on the Description Page.

Go on and back that thang up.

I am about to switch from Android to iPhone. Will I still be able to access all my purchased comics?

Of course! Just download the app on your new iPhone and log in with the account you used to purchase the books and they should sync right up!

Are you guys having trouble with Lumberjanes 14? It hasn't shown up despite it supposedly coming out today.

We are, unfortunately. We’re working to get it up as soon as humanly possible, so sorry for the delay.

Should be up now!

I saw that you guys offered a bundle set of comics for free. I am new to the site, and are those comics digital or actual copies of the comics? Also are they really free? Or do I have to pay s&h?

Hello new friend!

We are digital-only. You can buy comics on comixology.com then synch them to any of our reader apps available on most mobile devices. So therefore, there is no shipping costs at all & you can get that bundle absolutely free.

If you haven’t heard there are two Dynamite bundles available right now, one gets you a bunch of #1s for free and the other gets you 141 other issues for only $6.
