Hell yeah I can help you!
Dark, non-superhero comics comin up:
- snakeoily’s TEOTFW is so strange and dark and beautifully simplistic. A tale of love and sociopathy.
- Black Is The Color by Julia Gfrörer (doopliss) is the tale of a 17th century sailor, lost at sea, confronting his impending death.
- Warren Ellis’s new comic TREES seems like it will prove to be sufficiently dark, what with it’s monolithic alien invaders and their total lack of acknowledgment of the human race.
- And for a little bit of over-the-top weird flavored darkness, Manhattan Projects by Jonathan Hickman (pronea) and Nick Pitarra (nickpitarra) should hit the spot. I mean… just picture Einstein wielding a chainsaw and go from there.
- OH! And as kbmsi5 pointed out, Garth Ennis’s Preacher is incredible! If you’re into angels and demons and vampires and Nirvana. And who isn’t really?
Hope you dig those!
