Could I get a recommendation? I'm pretty invested in the Marvel universe, especially titles like Fraction's Hawkeye or the current Vision series. Basically, modern comics pull me in more. If I wanted to start reading DC, where should I start?

If you like @mattfractionblog‘s Hawkeye, and you’re willing to go back a ways, John Ostrander’s Suicide Squad or the Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire JLI are two superhero books from the 80s that really did a lot to define and contemporize the genre.  For something super modern, I’d say Brenden Fletcher’s Black Canary is one of the best books DC has done recently.
