I want to write comics but i don't know how to lay out my thoughts onto the page or panel structure. I feel like my descriptions about the panels aren't specific enough and I would like to ask you what would you recommend with writing comic scripts?

brianmichaelbendis:

The good news and bad news is there are no formatting and structure rules for comic book writing like there are for screenwriting and television

so you can’t do anything wrong except for being unclear and not understanding the real estate, the precious real estate, of a comic book page

so for starters I would head over to comic book script archive

http://www.comicbookscriptarchive.com/archive/

take a look at all the different formats and process solutions that other writers have made and see which ones most inspire you.

reading scripts is literally the best way to figure out how you are going to write them.

as far as everything else I have a couple more things to offer you.

first of all I teach comic book writing at Portland State and Random House gave me the opportunity of turning that class into a book

and i host another tumblr that is ALL process.
