No joke, this series is unbelievable.  It starts off as an adaptation of the movie (Kirby doing 2001 must be see to be believed), and then just becomes typically mind-blowing 70′s Kirby sci-fi, loosely based around concepts from the movie.  It’s also where Machine Man made his first appearance.
