Kevin’s Picks of The Week (8/7/2013)

  • PICK OF THE WEEK: Masks and Mobsters #10: A great jumping on point for new readers. When the “Bully Smashers” head to the coveted  “Graveyard of The Masks,” what follows is a rip-roaring rift of pulp-fueled adventure as only this series can deliver. It’s like a love-letter to the childhood pastimes of old, and one I could read over and over again.
  • Quantum & Woody #2: Following the explosive first issue Quantum & Woody continue their super-powered shenanigans with a follow up that only continues the fun. I think I have a new favorite Valiant comic series.
  • Pathfinder: Goblins #1:  This is the second week in a row a book about Goblins has caught my attention. What can I say, I’m a sucker for green skinned hooligans and their zany misadventures. Whether you are a Pathfinder player, or just a fan of fantasy add this to your pull list immediately.
  • Fairest #18: Sure it’s a book about Fairy Tale Prinesses, but when things get tense in the Village of The Dead all bets are off!

Kevin tweets, tumbles, and gives the occasional thumbs up across comiXology’s social media platforms. He is currently keeping his fingers crossed the rest of Shark Week goes smoothly.
